India will field a 54-member contingent at the Asian U23 Athletics Championships 2026, scheduled to be held in Ordos, People’s Republic of China, from July 9 to 12.
The inaugural Asian U23 Athletics Championships will be available to watch on live streaming in India.
The Indian team comprises several rising stars who have already made their mark at the senior level, including long jumper Shaili Singh and men’s pole vault national record holder Dev Kumar Meena.
Kuldeep Kumar, who shared the national mark earlier this year before Meena took full custody, is also in the mix.
Shaili Singh will be looking to make her mark at the continental meet in the long jump. The 22-year-old boasts two senior Asian Athletics Championships medals – a silver and a bronze – and owns the U20 national record of 6.76m.
Dev Meena and Kuldeep Kumar both recorded 5.45m clearances at the Federation Cup in Ranchi earlier this year before Meena leapt 5.46m at the Inter States in Bhubaneshwar last month.
The two will go toe-to-toe in Ordos again.
Shivam Lohakare impressed at the Federation Cup by winning the men’s javelin throw event with a personal best of 81.71m and will be another athlete to watch in China.
Aarti, bronze winner in the 10000m race walk at the 2024 World U20 Athletics Championships, will compete in the 20km race walk in Ordos.

The Asian U23 Athletics Championships 2026 will be available to watch via live streaming on the Weizan Live platform. There will be no live telecast of the Asian U23 Athletics Championships 2026 on any TV channel in India.
