Indian wrestlers will fine-tune their preparations for the Asian Games at the Polyák Imre, Varga János & Kozma István Memorial 2026 wrestling tournament, which gets underway in Budapest, Hungary, on Wednesday.
The Budapest Ranking Series is the fourth and final stop of the 2026 United World Wrestling (UWW) Ranking Series and will be available to watch on live streaming in India.
India have entered competitors across the men’s freestyle, women’s and Greco-Roman categories.
As many as 11 of India’s 18 Asian Games-bound wrestlers will be in action in Budapest, including Olympic bronze medallist Aman Sehrawat (men’s 57kg) and world championships bronze medallist Antim Panghal (women’s 53kg).
Aman Sehrawat, India’s youngest Olympic medallist, returns to international action after skipping the Ulaanbaatar Open and will spearhead the challenge in the men’s freestyle competition.
Sagar Jaglan (74kg), Mukul Dahiya (86kg) and Olympian Deepak Punia (97kg), part of India’s Asian Games 2026 wrestling team, will also compete in Budapest.
Antim Panghal also returns after missing the previous Ranking Series in Ulaanbaatar and will compete in a strong 53kg field. The Indian wrestler, who won bronze at the 2023 Asian Games, will be joined by Nishu in the category.
India’s women’s squad for Budapest also includes Asian Games-bound Dipanshi (50kg), Mansi Ahlawat (62kg) and Nisha Dahiya (68kg).

India’s Greco-Roman campaign will once again be spearheaded by former Asian champion Sunil Kumar, who heads into the event on the back of a gold-medal-winning performance in Ulaanbaatar.
He will be joined by fellow Ulaanbaatar gold medallist Nitesh Kumar, with both wrestlers also named in India’s Asian Games squad.
India heads into Budapest on the back of an impressive outing at the Ulaanbaatar Open, where the team finished with 16 medals, including eight gold medals.
In men’s freestyle, Dinesh Dhankhar (125kg) and Deepak (61kg) clinched gold medals alongside Sagar Jaglan (74kg).
In women’s wrestling, Neha Sangwan (59kg), Manisha Bhanwala (57kg) and Kajal Dhochak (76kg) topped the podium at Ulaanbaatar.

Live streaming of the Polyák Imre, Varga János & Kozma István Memorial 2026 wrestling tournament will be available on UWW+. There will be no live telecast for the Budapest Ranking Series on any TV channel in India.
