Organized by the Government of Nepal in collaboration with UNESCO, the Lumbini Development Trust, and the World Bank, the three-day international gathering (18–20 September 2026) brought together over 150 participants comprised of local communities, monasteries representatives, local entrepreneurs, hospitality business representatives, national and international experts, policymakers, local stakeholders, and development partners.
Opening the event, Hon. Khadak Raj Paudel (Ganess), Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, reaffirmed Nepal’s commitment to balancing growth with spiritual integrity.
