Loh Kean YewĀ booked his place in the semi-finals of the 2026 BWF Indonesia Masters with a straight-games win overĀ Chou Tien ChenĀ on Friday (23 January) at Istora Senayan.
The Singaporean, ranked world number 10, overcame the Chinese Taipei player 21-13, 21-18 in a 38-minute quarter-final on Court 1. Loh controlled the opening game, pulling clear early and keeping Chou at armās length to take the first comfortably.
Chou, ranked sixth in the world, pushed harder in the second game and stayed in touch on the scoreboard, but Loh held his nerve through the closing points to complete the victory.
Loh will now look to carry that momentum into Saturdayās (24 January) semi-final, where heās set to face ThailandāsĀ Panitchaphon Teeraratsakul, who beat IndiaāsĀ Lakshya SenĀ 21-18, 22-20 in his quarter-final.
