The European T20 Premier League 2026, the inaugural edition of the six-team franchise cricket competition featuring clubs from Ireland, Scotland and the Netherlands, will be played from August 26 to September 20 across two venues.
The European T20 Premier League (ETPL) will get underway with an all-Netherlands clash between Rotterdam Dockers and Amsterdam Flames at the Voorburg Cricket Club on Wednesday.
Live streaming and telecast of ETPL 2026 cricket matches will be available in India.
The six teams competing at ETPL 2026 are Amsterdam Flames, Rotterdam Dockers, Belfast Wolves, Dublin Guardians, Edinburgh Castle Rockers and Glasgow Cosmic.
Each team will face the other five twice in a double round-robin league stage, resulting in 30 league matches before the Qualifier and final.
The opening leg of the tournament will be played at the Voorburg Cricket Club in the Netherlands before the competition shifts to the Malahide Cricket Club in Ireland from September 9.
The team finishing top of the standings will advance directly to the final, while the second and third-placed sides will meet in the qualifier at Malahide on September 19. The final will also be held at the Malahide Cricket Club on September 20.
Former Indian cricket team captain Ajinkya Rahane and spin great Ravichandran Ashwin will be among the headline names at ETPL 2026.
Australian stars Steve Smith, Mitchell Marsh and Glenn Maxwell, South African veterans Faf du Plessis and David Miller, New Zealand fast bowler Trent Boult and England’s Liam Livingstone are also part of the inaugural edition.
Ashwin will captain the Dublin Guardians while Mitchell Marsh will lead Amsterdam Flames. Glenn Maxwell is the Belfast Wolves skipper, Mitchell Santner will captain Edinburgh Castle Rockers, Scotland international George Munsey will lead Glasgow Cosmic and Faf du Plessis will be at the helm of Rotterdam Dockers.
