The Indian women’s cricket team will square off against South Africa in a five-match SA-W vs IND-W T20 2026 series from April 17 to 27.

The first two T20Is will be played at Kingsmead in Durban before the action shifts to the Wanderers in Johannesburg for the next two encounters. The final fixture on April 27 is scheduled at the Willowmoore Park in Benoni.

All five South vs India women’s T20 2026 matches will be available to watch on live streaming and live telecast in India. You can follow live cricket scores on Olympics.com.

This cricket series marks India’s final assignment before their England tour and the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026. India enter the series as No. 3 in the ICC women’s T20I rankings, with hosts South Africa placed fifth.

Harmanpreet Kaur will continue to lead the team. Promising batter Anushka Sharma has earned her maiden call-up to the side.

Meanwhile, wicketkeeper Uma Chetry returns to the setup, while 22-year-old fast bowler Kashvee Gautam is also included and could be in line for her WT20I debut.

Anushka Sharma impressed in the Women’s Premier League (WPL), scoring 177 runs in seven matches for Gujarat Giants at an average of 25.28 and a strike rate of 129.19. She was the highest-scoring Indian batter for her team in the tournament.

Chetry, meanwhile, was not part of the squad for the T20I series against Australia earlier this year, which India won 2-1.

Pacer Arundhati Reddy, India’s pick of the bowlers against Australia with eight wickets from three matches, has also been named in the squad.

India, who beat South Africa in the final to win the Women’s ODI World Cup last year, have made a few notable omissions from the 16-member WT20I squad that toured Australia.

Vaishnavi Sharma, Sneh Rana, G Kamalini and Amanjot Kaur have been left out, while Harleen Deol also misses out after featuring in the home series against Sri Lanka in December.

Meanwhile, injuries to South Africa’s Dane van Niekerk and Marizanne Kapp mean that the Proteas will be without two of their experienced performers in the upcoming series.

The hosts’ pace attack will be spearheaded by Ayabonga Khaka while Nonkululeko Mlaba will lead the spin department.

Kayla Reyneke, who impressed with a strong debut in New Zealand – scoring 138 runs at a strike-rate of 168.29 – will get another opportunity to showcase her skills ahead of the squad selection for the Women’s T20 World Cup.

India and South Africa are in the same group for Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, which will be held in England and Wales in June-July.
