After an early exit from last week’s All England Open, India’s Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will be eyeing redemption in the Swiss Open 2026 badminton tournament, which starts in Basel’s St Jakobshalle from Tuesday.

Badminton matches at the Swiss Open 2026 will be available to watch on live streaming and live telecast in India.

Satwik-Chirag, fourth in the men’s doubles badminton rankings, were stunned by the world No. 33 team of Kang Khai Xing and Aaron Tai of Malaysia in the first round in Birmingham.

The reigning Asian Games champions will hope for a deeper run in the Swiss Open – a tournament they won in 2023.

Another former champion, PV Sindhu, will skip the Super 300 meet. The two-time Olympic medallist also missed the All England Open.

In Sindhu’s absence, the onus will be on Malvika Bansod and Unnati Hooda to lead the Indian charge in women’s singles.

Tanvi Sharma and Anmol Kharb will also look to impress after starting from the qualifiers.

Paris 2024 semi-finalist Lakshya Sen will also give the Swiss Open a miss following a gruelling run to the final of the All England Open.

The likes of Kidambi Srikanth, a former Swiss Open champion from 2015, HS Prannoy, Ayush Shetty and Kiran George will carry India’s hopes in men’s singles.

Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand will be the only Indian badminton players in action in the women’s doubles category at St. Jakobshalle.

MR Arjun and Dhruv Kapila will accompany SatChi in men’s doubles while India’s mixed team campaign will see a two-front representation from Dhruv Kapila/Tanisha Crasto and Rohan Kapoor/Ruthvika Shivani Gadde.
