Throughout 2025, UNDP Saudi Arabia worked alongside key national institutions to deliver strategic initiatives that strengthen long term capacities and accelerate Vision 2030 priorities. The overarching objective remained consistent, supporting the transformation of public systems, including governance, data, planning, and innovation, so that policies and services become more effective, more transparent, and more firmly grounded in evidence.

In practice, this meant providing technical advice, methodological frameworks, capacity development, and practical tools that enable stronger coordination and better decision making. By way of example, UNDP supported the development and preliminary launch of an Awqaf Excellence Index, designed as a reference tool to encourage performance, governance quality, and impact across the awqaf sector. Another example is the collaboration with GEOSA, focused on strengthening the national geospatial ecosystem so that geographic data can better inform planning, innovation, and cross stakeholder coordination.

In parallel, as a further example, UNDP continued its engagement with GASTAT to support a stronger national statistical system and reinforce a culture of data driven public decision making.
