On July 29, the National Association of Educators (ANDE) of Costa Rica hosted the first educational leadership workshop for union leaders at its headquarters in San José.

The activity was requested by ANDE and organized in collaboration with UNESCO as part of a series of strategic conferences aimed at strengthening institutional change and advancing education within the teaching sector.

The workshop brought together 65 union leaders from the central region of San José and may be replicated in other regions of the country in the future.

Representing UNESCO’s Education Sector was National Education Officer Ricardo Martínez Brenes. The activity was coordinated on behalf of ANDE by Luis Malma, International Relations Representative.
