India No. 1 Sumit Nagal will headline the home challenge in the singles main draw of the Bengaluru Open 2026 tennis tournament, starting on Monday at the KSLTA Stadium.

The Bengaluru Open, an ATP Challenger 125 event and the top tennis tournament on the Indian calendar, will mark its landmark 10th edition.
Two-time Olympian Sumit Nagal, 277th in the ATP rankings, will be India’s biggest draw at the Bengaluru Open. The Indian tennis player is also a former Bengaluru Open champion, having won the singles title in 2017.
India’s Karan Singh (world No. 471) and emerging talent Aryan Shah (world No. 402) are also in the singles main draw for the 2026 Bengaluru Open, while the likes of Manas Dhamne, Dhakshineswar Suresh and SD Prajwal Dev have been handed wild cards to the main draw. Prajwal will face Nagal in an all-Indian first-round clash.
India’s Ramkumar Ramanathan will hope to make it through from the singles qualifiers and so will Manish Suresh Kumar, Aditya Balsekar and Adil Kalyanpur.
ATP Tour title winner Pedro Martinez of Spain is the top seed in singles and the only sub-100-ranked player in the tournament. France’s Harold Mayot, a former junior world No. 1, and Great Britain’s Jay Clarke are seeded third and fourth, respectively.
In the doubles main draw, local favourite N Sriram Balaji and Austria’s Neil Oberleitner are the top-seeded team, followed by the all-Indian Anirudh Chandrasekar and Arjun Kadhe at No. 2.
Siddhant Banthia/Dhakshineswar Suresh, Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan/Ramkumar Ramanathan, Adil Kalyanpur/Saketh Myneni and SD Prajwal Dev/Nitin Kumar Sinha are the other all-Indian pairs in the doubles main draw.
Meanwhile, Sumit Nagal will also contest for the doubles crown with South African partner Lloyd Harris, while Niki Kalyandha Poonacha has teamed up with Thailand’s Isaro Puchya.
Among the lot, Ramkumar Ramanathan (2020, 2022, 2024), Anirudh Chandrasekar (2025), Saketh Myneni (2015, 2022, 2024) and Arjun Kadhe (2022) have all lifted the Bengaluru Open doubles trophy in the past.
The United States of America’s Brandon Holt won the singles title last year, while India’s Anirudh Chandrasekar and his partner Ray Ho of Chinese Taipei won the doubles.
Apart from Sumit Nagal, Prajnesh Gunneswaran is the only other Indian to win the Bengaluru Open singles title, having claimed the top prize in 2018.
