India’s schedule at the Commonwealth Games 2026 today, July 25, features five sports and will include medal chances in gymnastics and swimming.
Olympian Pranati Nayak headlines the day, leading India’s women’s artistic gymnastics team at the Glasgow International Arena.
Nishka Agarwal, Protistha Samanta and Eshitaa Rewale complete the four-member squad. All four will vie for qualification in their individual apparatus finals while also gunning for a podium in the team event.
India’s boxing campaign at Glasgow 2026 continues with Sachin Siwach, who takes on Canada’s Al-Ahmadieh Keoma in a men’s 60kg round of 32 bout at the Scottish Event Campus in the afternoon.
Sachin is a former Commonwealth Youth Games champion and will hope to add a senior medal to his cabinet.
In the pool, Dhakshan Shashikumar and Aryan Nehra line up in heat 3 and 4, respectively, in the men’s 400m freestyle swimming at the Tollcross International Swimming Centre, with the final scheduled late in the night if they qualify.
India’s women’s 3×3 wheelchair basketball team of Minakshi, Reena, Laxmi and Ritu open their Pool B group play stage campaign against Wales at the SEC Centre.
In bowls, the undefeated Putul Sonowal returns for another men’s singles sectional-play tie, this time against Malaysia’s Izzat Shameer Dzulkeple.
The women’s pairs duo of Pinki Singh and Rupa Rani Tirkey get the Indian CWG contingent‘s day underway against Tonga’s Paris Baker and Milika Nathan.
India are already guaranteed one medal at these Commonwealth Games with Lovlina Borgohain being handed a bye straight to the semi-finals of the women’s boxing 75kg category.
