This activity, organized from 20 to 25 July 2026, is supported by the Chad Education Reform Programme (PRET), funded by the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) and implemented with the support of UNESCO.
The workshop is part of ongoing efforts to modernize the Education Management Information System (EMIS) and advance the digital transformation of Chad’s education sector. It reflects the Government’s commitment to establishing an effective statistical system capable of producing reliable, up to date and usable data to support better planning and evidence based decision making.
The opening ceremony brought together officials from the MESRSFP, UNESCO representatives and staff from the Directorate of Statistics and Digitalization. In their remarks, the various officials emphasized the strategic importance of statistical data in guiding public policies and encouraged participants to make full use of the training to strengthen their technical skills in support of the administration.
Over the six days, participants will be trained on the main functionalities of StatEduc, including:
• configuring questionnaires and databases;
• deploying and updating data entry forms;
• applying good data entry practices;
• extracting, organizing and managing data;
• conducting consistency checks and validating databases;
• analysing and interpreting statistical indicators to inform decision making.
The training is based on a pedagogical approach combining theoretical presentations, practical computer based exercises, case studies, collaborative exercises and continuous assessments. This methodology aims to promote sustainable mastery of the tools and strengthen staff autonomy in managing the Ministry’s statistical information system.
At the end of the workshop, DSD staff are expected to be able to configure databases effectively, ensure the quality and reliability of the information collected, produce relevant dashboards and statistical analyses, and strengthen data quality control. These skills will contribute to strengthening the MESRSFP information system and improving governance in the higher education, scientific research and vocational training sector.
Through this initiative, the MESRSFP reaffirms its commitment to digital transformation, the development of its human resource capacities and the production of reliable statistics, which are essential for modern, transparent and results oriented governance.
