The world’s leading white-ball bowlers assembled in India and Sri Lanka for the T20 World Cup 2026, battling for the honour of finishing as the tournament’s highest wicket-taker.

Co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, the 10th edition of the T20 World Cup was played across multiple venues in the subcontinent, forcing bowlers to adapt swiftly to contrasting conditions, including spin-friendly surfaces and high-scoring grounds with short boundaries.

The tournament witnessed several match-winning spells. West Indies’ Romario Shepherd produced the best bowling figures in the T20 World Cup 2026 with figures of 5/20 against Scotland.

Junaid Siddique of the UAE was the only other bowler to take a fifer in the tournament with 5/35 against Canada.

India’s Jasprit Bumrah and Varun Chakravarthy topped the most wickets in T20 World Cup 2026 list with 14 scalps each.

The Indian duo toppled USA’s Shadley van Schalkwyk — who took a four-wicket haul in each of his first two matches — from the top of the list only in the final, with Bumrah claiming a four-fer against New Zealand in the summit clash.

Here’s a list of the players who took the most wickets in the T20 World Cup 2026.
