• The Creative Labs in Loreto and Ucayali bring together social organizations, particularly those representing women, young people and Indigenous Peoples, as well as local communicators and journalists, to strengthen their capacities in planning, communication and public advocacy.
• Through the Habla Promo campaign, the Horizontes Amazonía programme promotes dialogue and collective commitments around the future of adolescents in the region.

UNESCO Peru and Venva Comunicaciones, within the framework of the Horizontes Amazonía program, are promoting spaces for coordination, mobilization and public advocacy that seek to strengthen the role of local actors as agents of change in support of Amazonian secondary education, by generating innovative proposals and developing planning and communication skills.

To this end, they are bringing together social organizations from Loreto and Ucayali, especially those of women, youth and Indigenous Peoples, as well as local communicators and journalists interested in helping improve opportunities for adolescents in these regions.

This coordination takes shape in the “Creative Labs”, a series of collaborative, interregional laboratories with two editions: “Creative Lab Loreto” and “Creative Lab Ucayali.” They will consist of virtual and in-person sessions for peer learning and exchange of experiences, technical feedback on each group’s products, applied work between sessions, and mentoring.

At the end of the process, the teams will present their campaigns at a large public event. This activity will be part of a contest in which a jury will select the most outstanding proposals and award a winner in each region.
