What will Naomi Osaka wear next at Wimbledon 2026? Even she’s not sure: “I might dial it back a little bit”

What does Naomi Osaka have under her sleeve next at Wimbledon 2026 – literally?

It’s actually something she’s not sure about, either.

“There’s a couple things I can add [to the walk-on look]”, Osaka explained. “[But] ironically I kind of want to focus on my tennis now, so I might dial back a little bit.”

Dial it back? Osaka?

It’s part logistical, as her looks at the French Open were being made and/or altered mid-tournament. At Wimbledon, her kimono-inspired looks were hand-made in Japan and sent over to London.

“I don’t have that much variation this time around,” she said. “It’s not like [Hana Yagi, the Tokyo-based designer] can make a brand-new thing every time.”

She added: “I have different ways to mix and match it. But my favourite one is the one I’ve worn two times in a row now [pictured, above]. It’s like the free-robe vibe.”

Osaka once again took to court on Sunday (5 July) in a draped, layered Japanese ceremonial-style kimono as she strolled onto Centre Court alongside world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka

Osaka dispelled Sabalenka with a straight-set masterclass, meaning she’s into her first career Wimbledon quarter-final.

But will she walk onto court with a new look draped around her shoulders?

We will all have to wait and see.

“I don’t know,” she admitted about her next potential look.
