New Division Director will lead World Bank Group support for jobs, economic resilience, and greater opportunity across nine Pacific Island Countries
SUVA, July 27, 2026 — Tatiana Proskuryakova has been appointed World Bank Group (WBG) Division Director for the North and South Pacific, effective July, 2026. Ms. Proskuryakova will oversee the World Bank Group’s engagement in the Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Kiribati, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Naoero, Palau, Samoa, Tonga, and Tuvalu.

Ms. Proskuryakova will oversee a portfolio of WBG support that is helping Pacific countries create jobs and strengthen resilience through better health services, digital connectivity, climate-resilient transport, and stronger financial systems. These investments, together with wider WBG budget support and knowledge products, across the North and South Pacific aim to improve services, open new economic opportunities and build a more resilient future for communities.
Ms. Proskuryakova previously served as the World Bank’s Regional Director for Central Asia. She brings more than three decades of World Bank Group experience across Central Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean.
