Signed by Mr Hilaire Mputu, Acting Director of the UNESCO Regional Office for Central Africa, and Mr Ousmanou Oumara, Coordinator of the PAEBC Project Management Unit, the agreement provides for €8 million in technical assistance over a period of 36 months.
Through this partnership, UNESCO will support Cameroon in strengthening the capacities of more than 50,000 teachers, supervisors and education stakeholders, developing innovative educational resources, integrating digital technologies into teaching, modernizing the assessment system, and strengthening the Education Management Information System.
The project will also support the development of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), the updating of MINEDUB’s WebGIS platform, the interconnection of education databases, and the establishment of dynamic dashboards to enable planning that is more firmly grounded in reliable data.
