More than 1,500 participants from communities bordering Lobéké National Park in Cameroon, Dzanga Ndoki National Park in the Central African Republic, Nouabalé Ndoki National Park in the Republic of the Congo, as well as communities around Salapoumbé, took part in this major event celebrating cultural heritage and promoting dialogue among the peoples of the Sangha Trinational.

These three national parks, located in the heart of the Congo Basin, together form the Sangha Trinational (TNS), a transboundary site inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2012 and recognized for its rich biodiversity and the importance of the interactions between forest ecosystems and the communities that depend on them.

Co funded by UNESCO under the European Union funded Natura Sud Est programme, with financial support from the Foundation for the Sangha Trinational (FTNS), FESTIBABA 2026 provided Baka and Bantu communities with a dedicated space for the transmission of knowledge, cultural promotion and intergenerational dialogue.
