Indian tennis player Anirudh Chandrasekar and his partner Takeru Yuzuki of Japan rallied to win the doubles title at the Busan Open 2026 ATP Challenger tennis tournament in the Republic of Korea on Sunday.
The second-seeded Anirudh Chandrasekar and Takeru Yuzuki fought back after dropping the opening set to defeat third seeds Jean-Julien Rojer of the Netherlands and the USA’s Theodore Winegar 4-6, 6-3, 10-7 in the final.
The Indo-Japanese duo conceded the opening set after losing serve in the third game, but hit back in the second with a crucial break in the eighth game to force the match into a super-tiebreaker, which they won.
Anirudh Chandrasekar and Takeru Yuzuki cruised through the opening two rounds of the doubles draw in Busan without dropping a set, dispatching local wildcards Suk Ann-Geun-Jun Kim of South Korea and the British pair of Ben Jones-Joshua Paris.
In the semi-finals, the second seeds edged past the Indian duo of Rithvik Bollipalli and Arjun Kadhe in a super-tiebreaker to book their place in the final.
This marked Anirudh Chandrasekar’s first title of the season and his maiden triumph with Takeru Yuzuki as partner.
The duo had earlier finished runners-up at the Nonthaburi Challenger II 2026, going down in straight sets to Paris 2024 Olympian N Sriram Balaji of India and Austria’s Neil Oberleitner in the final.
Anirudh Chandrasekar’s previous ATP Challenger title came at the Jingshan Challenger 2025, where he won the doubles crown with Reese Stalder of the USA. It was his fourth ATP Challenger title of the season, making 2025 his most successful year on the circuit.
Overall, Anirudh Chandrasekar now has 10 ATP Challenger doubles titles.
