The European T20 Premier League 2026, the inaugural edition of a six-team franchise cricket competition featuring clubs from Ireland, Scotland and the Netherlands, is currently underway.
The first leg of the tournament is being played at the Voorburg Cricket Club in the Netherlands before the action shifts to the Malahide Cricket Club in Ireland from September 9.
The six teams competing at ETPL 2026 are Amsterdam Flames, Rotterdam Dockers, Belfast Wolves, Dublin Guardians, Edinburgh Castle Rockers and Glasgow Cosmic.
Each franchise’s squad has a minimum of eight local talents, with five to seven overseas players and at least one European Associate as well as one Global Associate player.
Teams have to field a minimum of five local talents and a maximum of four overseas players in their playing XIs.
In the league stage, each team squares off with the other five twice sides in the tournament in a double round-robin format before the Qualifier and final.
The team that tops the standings will advance directly to the final, while the second and third-placed sides will meet in the qualifier at Malahide on September 19. The final will be held at the same venue on September 20.
