With the aim of strengthening the role of teachers in improving the school experience of children and adolescents, the Sixth International Pedagogical Congress, “Schools that Care and Transform: Learning, Spaces and Socio-emotional Well-being”, was held in Moquegua.
The event was organized by the Moquegua Regional Directorate of Education, in partnership with Anglo American Quellaveco and UNESCO, and took place on Friday, 10 July, at the Moquegua Regional Government Auditorium, as part of the 2026 Teachers’ Day celebrations.
The event brought together more than 400 teachers from across the region for a day of reflection centred on a key question: what do schools need today to enable students to learn more effectively, feel safe, participate actively and develop confidence in their own abilities?
