Education connected to its environment
The Reimagina Programme promotes the transformation of educational institutions in Moquegua into spaces for inspiration, creativity and active learning, where students, teachers and school leaders develop the capacities needed to respond to the challenges facing their communities.
Its approach is structured around four principles: active learning, technological empowerment, life planning and interactive alternation. These principles guide new ways of teaching and learning, strengthen students’ autonomy and well-being, and connect learning with families, communities and the needs of the territory.
Reimagina is an Anglo American initiative implemented through the Quellaveco Association, in coordination with the Regional Government of Moquegua, the Regional Directorate of Education, the Mariscal Nieto and Ilo Local Education Management Units, UNESCO Peru, educational institutions and other strategic partners.
A recognition built collectively
The distinction recognizes the work of education authorities, school management teams, teachers, students, families, specialists and organizations involved in implementing the programme.
It also reaffirms that sustainable transformations require a shared vision, coordinated responsibilities and continuity. The recognition strengthens the partners’ commitment to continue promoting improved learning, educational innovation, socio-emotional well-being, student participation and a closer relationship between schools and their surrounding communities.
