Senior National Men’s Kabaddi Championship 2026: Services look to defend title in Vadodara – where to watch live

The Senior National Men’s Kabaddi Championship 2026 is scheduled to be held from February 24 to 27 at the Sama Indoor Complex in Vadodara, Gujarat.

Organised under the aegis of the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI), this will be the 72nd edition of the National Kabaddi Championship for men.

The tournament will feature teams from States and Union Territories across the country, as well as top institutional teams to vie for the title. As many as 31 teams will compete at the National Kabaddi Championship 2026. More than 400 players will be in action.

The 72nd Senior National Men’s Kabaddi Championship 2026 matches will be available to watch on live streaming in India.

Services are the reigning national men’s kabaddi champions heading into the tournament, having won the title last year in Odisha by beating Railways in the final.

Led by Pro Kabaddi star Naveen Kumar, Services will once again be one of the favourites at the 72nd Senior National Men’s Kabaddi Championship with established names like Bharat Hooda, Devank Dalal, Ankit Jaglan, Jaideep Dahiya and Ashish Narwal also in the squad.

Haryana, the champions from 2024, Maharashtra and Railways will also field formidable sides with a host of top Pro Kabaddi stars in their respective setups.

With the Asian Games 2026 scheduled for September-October, this year’s kabaddi nationals will also hold considerable influence on the team selection for the upcoming showpiece in Japan, where India will be defending their continental crown.

The spotlight will be on PKL Season 12’s top three raiders – Haryana’s Ayan Lohchab, Devank Dalal and Services’ Bharat Hooda. Dabang Delhi’s title-winning captain Ashu Malik will turn out for Railways, while Arjun Deshwal leads Uttar Pradesh once again.

Among the emerging talents, Tamil Nadu’s Deepak Sankar arrives after a 64-tackle-point season that earned him PKL 12’s New Young Player award.

Maharashtra will rely on Aditya Shinde, who amassed 159 raid points, including five super raids. Haryana defender Nitesh Kumar, with 65 tackle points and five High 5s, also features, alongside promising talents Anil (Himachal Pradesh) and Uday Parte (Madhya Pradesh).

The Senior National Men’s Kabaddi Championship 2026 concludes on Friday.

The women’s kabaddi nationals was held earlier this year in Hyderabad. Haryana beat Railways to become champions.

Where to watch National Kabaddi Championship 2026 live

Live streaming of the Senior National Kabaddi Championship 2026 will be available on SportsVot. There will be no live telecast of the National Kabaddi Championship on any TV channel in India.
