WASHINGTON, DC, October 8, 2026 – The International Development Association (IDA, Aaa/AAA), a member of the World Bank Group, today priced a EUR 1 billion 30-year Sustainable Development Bond that matures in October 2056.

The transaction marks IDA’s first EUR issuance of this fiscal year and its first EUR 30-year bond in global benchmark format. At EUR 1 billion, it is IDA’s largest 30-year issuance and matches the longest maturity for IDA, from 2023.

The transaction attracted 28 orders from investors. The bond priced with an annual yield of 4.339%. This equates to a spread vs. the reference Bund of +42.8 basis points. BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank and DZ Bank are the lead managers for the transaction. The bond will be listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.

“The strong support for this EUR 30-year benchmark reflects investors’ confidence in IDA’s financial strength and its mission, especially in challenging market conditions,” said Jorge Familiar, Vice President and Treasurer, World Bank Group. “The long tenor of this transaction is particularly fitting because IDA’s work in the world’s lowest-income countries, from building human capital to strengthening resilience and creating the conditions for jobs and economic opportunity, requires exactly this kind of long-term financing for development that capital markets make possible.”
